Hi taking dh to the Chelsea Flower Show this year, he has always wanted to go, has been fighting cancer for 3yrs so he deserves a treat. Loking for somewhere nice to stay, budget of £150 a night, which I can see won`t go far! Just want something diff from the usual run of the mill to make it special. Thanks

Hilton have 50% off at some hotels if you book soon. Check their website.

I like using laterooms to price compare - you can put your search by postcode / distance / best value / price - it has hotels and guests houses plus customer reviews. You're right though £150 a night in London doesn't go far.

If you look at Richmond Hill Hotel the rates are around £147 advanced room rate / per night per double room in May on laterooms and from £160 on their own site www.richmondhill-hotel.co.uk. Not stayed myself but looks nice, free onsite car parking if you're arriving from out of town. It says popular for stays for guests visiting the Chelsea Flower Show, so must be nicely located for a short commute in.

Dolphin Square apartments in Pimlico are lovely if you fancy self-catering. Studios, one and two beds and also regular hotel rooms. Restaurant, gym, pool and shops on-site. www.dolphinsquare.co.uk
