Help! I'm off to see family abroad and so don't want to really hire a car but we do need to have car seat for the kids. DD2 is 3 months and her car seat is pretty portable but DD1's car seat is very heavy and not easily transportable with the base unit. Has anyone hired just a car seat whilst abroad? I've looked at all the major car hire companies but it seems we would have to hire a car to go with the car seat (bit excessive!)
