Day trip to Paris

I'm taking my Mum to Paris for lunch for her 60th (its all shes ever wanted to do, doesn't want to stay for the night, just the day) so I'm looking for recommendations on what to do, where to eat, what to avoid.

I can highly recommend Le Petit Zinc in St Germain for lunch. Have a wander on the Left Bank and visit Notre Dame.

Get a Batobus ticket and use it for stop offs at The Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, The Eiffel Tower etc - get to see the sites but without too much walking.
