Greece with a baby

Vague plans to go to Greece in September with PFB and DH. Still pregnant (36 weeks) hence vagueness of plans!
Want to stay in self-catering villa or apartment and looking for recommendations - ideally near a beach, taverna and old town, maybe with a pool, and baby-friendly of course.

Thinking of Crete or Kefalonia, but any island considered.

And is September warm enough to go in the sea? (Never been to Greece before).

Thanks!

Great time to go to Greece with a baby, sea lovely and warm from all the sun in the summer, and evenings cooler which is ideal.

Loved both Crete and Kefalonia - but only stayed in hotels B&B and half board. Try Tapestry holidays for some lovely villas.

Kalives in Crete is lovely or Mastihari on Kos. Stoupa on the mainland is lovely too.

we have happy memories of stoupa when our children were young. also thasos and kefalonia. the greeks love kids and welcome them in restaurants - they used to bring my son extra treats in the tavernas

Scala in Kefalonia is a lovely quiet resort. If you stay near the beach you can walk to shops and tavernas. Some of the hotels offer self-catering apartments, in addition to B and B and half-board. Babies are always made welcome in tavernas.
