We have just arrived back from two week's holiday staying at Riva, at the northrn end of Lake Garda, Italy. Just had to let people know how nice it all was. We took our 16mo DD abroad for the first time and it was definitely a great choice.

The Italians are so child freindly and welcomed DD into everywhere with pleasure, making such a fuss of her. Once we got the hang of it we easily got highchairs, small portions of food, plainer food sauces, straws for juice, etc. And it was easy to get Pampers nappies and wipes too. And not much different in price to hear really.

DD has had a great time staying up much much later than normal - the children Italy don't appear to go to bed before 11pm at the resorts - and getting up later. She loved the pasta, pizza and ice cream, and ate really well all fortnight.

It was lovely for us too as we didn't have to worry about her bothering people when out or anything.

A definite recommendation from us.

Bringing back happy memories of our honeymoon which was in Riva del Garda and then Madonna di Campiglio. Could be our first "foreign" destination with the tribe.
