Has anyone had any experience of the above?

Owners direct are a pretty reputable company, as are Holiday Rentals. You would be booking directly with the owner rather than the Agent, which is always a plus on both sides (no hidden costs). HR do have a guarantee system, not sure about OD.

Not Florida, but I am speaking to around 3 contacts regarding Italy, all fine and very helpful.

Slightly more deposit money required, but that is understandable if it is their home or life savings investment property!

We have used them but we prefer www.ownersrentals.com as they specialise in florida holiday rentals. We went earlier this year and had a wonderful time we rented a 6 bedroom villa in kissimmmee kids loved it. We went with my sister and brother inlaw and their two kids. It was their first time and it was worth every penny just to see their faces. Just one big tip, make sure you ask the owners for any discount availible, and extra costs as you will proberly have to pay a cleaning fee and pool heating. We been half a dozen times now allways booked direct with the owners and never had a problem with using www.ownersrentals.com. Here's were we look www.ownersrentals.com/search/NorthAmerica/United_States/Florida_Orlando-Disney.html

Good Luck

I would imagine that the OP has booked and gone by now Grin
I rent a villa in Florida via owners direct and we never charge a clean fee and all other charges are set out very clearly in the advert.
