Hi,
Went here during the summer with a 10yr and a 1yr old and loved it. We gave it 10/10, for variety of things to see and do, and for the cafe which served 'proper' food, with real veg and home made soup for example. Oh and the 'Bostin Fittle' is fantastic!
It is mainly outdoors, with plenty of walking as it is a big site - although you can use the trams as well.
There is a mine that you can go down with a guide (you are given torches and hard hats). The 10 yr old loved this, but the 1 yr old was quite scared and I had to carry him the whole time (pushchairs not allowed down there)
The old 'village' is really cool, with many people in costume, and some really funny characters. Chance to buy some sweet made on site by traditional methods.
Canal trips into the tunnels, and horse and cart rides are available. There is also a funfair.
