Foot and Mouth restrictions

I have been told by Simply Corsica that I cannot take jars of baby food to Corsica. They recommend I call the French Embassy, has anyone else taken baby food or milk abroad recently?

My sister took quite a lot of gluten free food and cartons of non-dairy milk to Egypt in July. She had to get her Doctor to write a letter to the British Embassy and the British Embassy then wrote to the Egyptian embassy to get permission. Both her kids have dairy intolerences and also have exczema so she needed to have their own food with them.
