Yes I went in September (have also been to the Crete one)
Loved it, what do you want to know?

Is there much to do outside the hotel?

We are thinking of going too, but will have a 4 year old, so lots of activites/places to wander is must.

The one in Tenerife is on the edge of a large village (no beach) so there is somewhere to walk, have coffee, look in shops but it's not touristy. Hotel runs a shuttle bus for free to the nearest town a couple of times a day and also to a shopping centre.
Inside the hotel is superb for kids. Activities all day and at night. The playhouse is brilliant.
There are specific family pools too.
The staff were the best in any hotel I have found. My DD loved them (a couple of pics on my profile).
We will definitely return!

It is fab!

Sensatori Tenerife is stunning.
I was working there last night.
As soon as you walk into this hotel, you get a good feeling about it and the lovely perfumed aroma is lush.

Any other questions and i will do my best to answer.
Lisa.

Hi Lisa - Sensatori or the Athelia one from the other thread? Grin

Lisa2 · 12/01/2011 10:03

I still root for Anthelia haha. It's just so great for little ones with action packed times at the kids club where you can win medals and certifivcates and the mini disco and show every night and you have the beach on your doorstep at the anthelia.

The nearest beach at sensatori is around 7-10mins away so perfect for if you are not a beach lover.

Also, the iberostar is a 5 resort but the sensatori is a 5 plus resort.

geordieminx · 12/01/2011 10:28

What about the location of each? Ideally want somewhere we can have a wander about too?

We had a lovely time at the Mare Nostrum last year, but are looking to go all inclusive this year as we spent a fortune eating out! Probably £100 a day, which was only lunch, dinner and a few ice creams - neither of us big drinkers either

rachelstephens · 12/01/2011 22:19

does anyone know what childcare they have in the sensatori crete/tenerife resorts in april? i think they have the baby creche open but are there kids clubs where we can drop our 4 year old off? it isn't clear from the brochure what childcare there is for older kids in april, ie before the main season starts

booking a holiday has become so stressful that i am going to need an extra holiday to get over it ;)

thanks! rachel

OK, with the anthelia, you are right on the Fanebe beach and there are many bars, cafes, restaurants and shops.
For the children, you have mini golf, family bike hire, trampolines, inflatables in the ocean and a great soft play area.

The hotel is lovely with an amazing kids club and mini disco each night followed by a show.

The sensatori is quite a lot further on than the anthelia ...
Anthelia aprox 20 min transfer from airport
Sensatori aprox 45 minutes.

The sensatori is beautiful and grand but you are kind of in the middle of nowhere, there is not much around you to explore and eat if you fancy a change. You would need to get a taxi to a good restaurant.

Lovely kids club though and wonderful hotel but again, around 7 min taxi ride to get to the beach.

Hope this helps.

There is a hotel kids club with it's own pool as well as the Thomson one in Tenerife. Not sure when the Thomson one is open though. All looked great. We used the crèche for DD once or twice and it was brilliant.
