Hi all,

I am planning on taking my 3 year old ds to nyc soon to see my sister but an worried about the time difference and his sleep patterns ( 4 montsh preg and sleep is V important).

So has anyone worked out best flight times to avoid too much disruption. I imagine coming home is easier as will naturralyl be a night flight but what about flying there to ensure that they sleep that evening and thus start sleep routine NYC time?

The flights that leave before 12pm are always good.

Leave London about 4pm, arrive in New York about 7pm, quick bite to eat and then bed. Wake up on New York time!

Done a few different times and this one has definitely been the best although not sure how well it would work for little one. Maybe a 2pm flight with a long nap on plane?

Most flights to NYC leave during mid to late morning arriving into the New York area late afternoon. Your 3 year old should be fine on the flight over because you also "gain" time.

Returning to the UK the night flight will leave between 7 and 8pm arriving into the UK around 7 am the next day.
