ski holiday child care

I might get told off for plugging on here, but I provide hourly child care in the French Alps for people skiing, and I've just done an email to all my previous parents asking for advice about how to get the word out there and they all said 'post on Mumsnet'. I've looked, but there is no where on this site for people who want to stay in self catering, or independent chalets, only a place to review ski tour operators.

So I thought I'd better start a thread as a way of drawing people's attention to the possibilities.

So to cut to the chase, you don't have to stay with Esprit, Mark Warner and the like, or put your children in a scary French creche all day. You can book an English nanny to come to your accommodation, whatever that might be, for the odd few hours, evenings or full days.

It works out cheaper, you specify the exact hours that suit you, and you get to chose your nanny from a pool of possibles, so you'll know all about that them and will have seen photos, references etc in advance.

So I am sorry to plug, but everyone keeps telling me to let people know about it through this site and I wasn't sure how to go about it. The website is alpinchildcare.com I'd love feedback from anyone who has required ski resort child care in in the past.

Alpine - the small business/classified section is here

So long as you've paid your £50 to advertise over there, then I don't think anyone would mind you cross-referencing from other threads.

As it is, your current 'free ad' will probably get reported or pulled soon if you don't pay your dues.... Wink

I hope you get lots of work - it's not easy being 'freelance' out there :)

I worked out there for years and loved it - I really miss it!

Have a brilliant season and a Toffee Vodka at Le Pub if you get there for me x

Presumably you have talked to all of the rental places, restaurants, shops, chalet girls, given everyman and his dog your card etc??

You need to post on the small business section.

I would also make sure you get your website address correct when you post there....
