dh and ds are flying to glasgow and I'm driving. How do they get to and from the airport without a car seat - do taxis provide them?

How old is your DS?

Fio2 · 28/09/2005 09:21

taxis dont provide tham no and as far as I am aware it is not law that you use one in a taxi and just strap them in with the seatbelt

Can you not take your own car seat with you?

Fio2 · 28/09/2005 09:23

the only alternatrive would be to take your own

apparemtly there are taxis here in Stirling that you can wheel your pushchair stright on. Not sure how safe that'd be but I know people who've done it...

ds is 18mo - don't think dh would be too keen to have to lug a car seat plus luggage on his own plus toddler. Will try and get a relative to pick him up with a borrowed seat till I arrive later in the day in the car.
Why isn't it law in a taxi? it's a car isn't it?

they are not insured to use their own car seats as far as i am aware and not sure why it isnt law!
