formula on a plane

Does anyone know how I can take formula through security? Previously I have breast fed my baby so never had this issue.
Do they make you open the ready made cartons? is it ok to bring water with me and then add the powder?

The rules allow you to take formula but if it is mixed up (i.e. liquid) you may be asked to taste it to prove that it is harmless. You won't be allowed to take water through security but you could get some from one of the air side coffe shops.

I suspect the rules on tasting it may also apply to cartons of formula. I would contact the airport in advance if you're concerned.

Boots do supply ready made formula once you get through the gate aswell.

You can take water through if it's in a baby bottle, just have to taste it. Sometimes they make you open cartons and sometimes not!
