May have to go to Dubai with the kids at Easter - part holiday part business Have been before - not my cup of tea - I much prefer Oman. The kids like it though.

Anyway the hotel we liked The Jumeirah Beach Club closed several years ago. That is the Beach CLUB not to be confused with the beach hotel of the same name. Much classier - low rise and pools etc not too busy even at peak times. Have also tried the Madinat (spelling) which is supposed to be nice - but to my mind the pool was very busy and full of bimbos.

Is there a quieter more exclusive place that anyone can recommend? Cost not really an object. My kids are not tinies and are used to upmarket places so it does not need to be "family friendly"

Burj Al Arab, Hotel in the Burj Khalifa (think its owned by Armani not beachside though), Atlantis hotel on the palm has access to the aterpark but also guest only pools and beach.

Easter is generally busy because the climate is so much better then so everywhere may well eb busyish, particularly if you're going during UK school holidays.

Ritz Carlton possibly. On the beach and expensive enough that it's not full of people on package holidays.

You could go out to Bab Al Shams for a few days of luxury and relaxation in the desert.

I think Al Qasr or the others at the Madinat might be OK. If it's the annual Russian holidays (can't remember when they are) it will be full of older men with young ladies, but rest of time is not too bad!
