Brighton hotels

Can anyone recommend a good hotel in Brighton (4* ish) which would be good for a group of mums getting away from their families for the weekend. ie we want to let our hair down without upsetting anyone but we still like clean surroundings and showers that work. Somewhere fairly central.

Hotel du Vin - never been to the one there but the one in Winchester is lovely and I believe the Brighton one is too.

Hotel du Vin is VERY central in Brighton and lovely. Metropole is also good as is The Grand -of course. Old Ship is a bit tatty now. The Pelirocco is also fab and very art deco.

Hotel Du Vin, is on a side street (ship st I think) just off the main seafront road.

Very smart (new), great food, and central to exploring Brighton.

It gets very booked up though, so book ahead!
