Copenhagen must see and dos

I am off to Copenhagen with my sister later this week for a long weekend. We booked this trip to see the Christmas markets at Tivoli but haven't done much research in to other must sees yet. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations?

we went a year ago and I'd recommend the National Museum (is excellent and free) and a boat trip around canals (we went from Nyhavn where there is also a Christmas market)- you can sit undercover and boats are heated, see here. We found this was good for a weekend, can see the 'sights' without too much effort.

Have a lovely time, we want to go again at some point!
