Luxury honeymoon location which is toddler friendly

Hi, just been asked by a v busy friend to ask the above question on her behalf.

Can anyone suggest a tried and tested luxury holiday with a toddler. My friends got married in August and had a honeymoon fund as one of their presents. I think they got quite a considerable amount in the fund and would now like to use it. Somewhere that is toddler friendly is a must. Their DS will be 2 in May.

Any suggestions?

Thailand. Thai people adore children.

How 'luxury' do you want to go? Second Thailand, been there in nice hotels on the beach, elephant comes to breakfast etc, kids clubs, babysitters.

Thank you ladies, I will pass on your Thai suggestion. Must say it's somewhere I've always wanted to go, my Uncle is Thai and I love the food!

I think they got quite a bit in the honey moon fund so quite luxurious!

Bangtao Bay in Phuket is very nice and very child friendly if you're looking for nice hotels on the beach. It has a few big luxury hotels but is quiet and peaceful, with walks on the beach for dinner etc.

Bandos Island in the Maldives... We went with DS1 when he was 18 months old. The kids' club is free, lovely ladies who run it. Ok, the kids' club isn't very big but has a nice playground. Also, we just left him for a couple of hours in the morning and then we spend the afternoons at the beach or at the swimming pool, it was really lovely. The staff were all lovely to DS1 and we went AI and there was always something for DS1 to eat!
