Can anyone recommend somewhere nice to stay in or near Alnwick, Northumberland for a short stay in December?

Can't think of any hotels in Alnwick it's been a while since I've been there. But Seahouses up the road is gorgeous and has lovely pubs and restaurants. TBH I'd probably go for a cosy cottage rental somewhere on the coast there or in Alnwick itself and then travel about a bit. It's a gorgeous area.

Linky dink Morpeth and Rothbury are nice too. Recommend Alnmouth also. Morpeth is prob the furthest away from Alnwick.

Ugh, I can't stand Seahouses.

I've stayed in Alnmouth and booked via Northumbria Cottages. Quite a few hotel bars abd restaurants there for eating out. Lovely village.

Walk through the village and have walks along the beach in Alnmouth. Then back to one of the friendly hotel bars for a drink and a hot meal. Fantastic.
