DD is allergic to dairy and we are off to Lanzarote on hols. Does anyone know how to ask for dairy free things?

Thank you!

To ask which dishes contain dairy products you can say:

"¿Cuáles de sus platos contiene productos lácteos? "

Or, to simply request dairy-free, you can say:

"No productos lácteos, por favor."

I think.

Do you know how that is pronounced phonetically? Thanks again!

phonetically it would be something like this:
no (the o sound as in "cold")
pro -duc -tos (again o like in cold and u as in "oo")
lac-te-os ("a" is pronounced like in "car", "e" as in "bed" and "o" as in "cold").

I hope that helps, but you might be better off just having it written down. If I were you, I would explain that DD is allergic to it, so that they take it really seriously. Just in case...

"Mi hija es alergica a los productos lacteos. Necesito una comida que no contenga lacteos, por favor"
