Many thanks.

As cheap and as child friendly as possible for mid Dec.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I've just come back from Aqua Blu in Sharm el Sheike. I don't think you'd find anywhere more kid friendly. Loads of pools and slides. Food was good, evening entertainment was a bit dire but I think thats common in Egypt. Didn't bother us.

We wwent with First Choice but other places do it cheaper.

Swiss Inn in Dahab - very reasonable, tiny kids club, very low key, good food (no sickness). We booked flights with Thomson and booked hotel direct. Went with a 3 yr old last Feb. Planning on going with a 4 yr old and a 4 month old in March!!

Whomever you stay with, please get out and see some of the place. Try for the pyramids and luxor/karnak at least. It's an amazing country with so much history, it really blows your mind.
