Help finding a bargain bit of warmth mid Dec?

Please help. I am rubbish at finding good value holidays.

I want something for a family of 4 with a 2yr old and a 4yr old.

We thought about Egypt but £500 per person? Really?

Any clues from you people that know things?

Have a look into Tenerife.
I work out there and have a little childcare buisness.
The island is becoming more and more popular now as there is so much to do for adults and children of all ages.
