Florida villa recommendations

We're looking to hire a villa for 8 or 9 (5 kids aged 7 and under) next year in August. Keen to get booked up as obviously a busy time. Any recommendations fro MNetters who have hired a villa in the past? There are so many on Internet, don't know where to start. Like to book from recommendations usually. We would like access to a pool and to be as close as possible to Disney. Thank you!

Thanks mumoverseas - sorry wasn't being rude but just crazy couple of days...

Sounds like December may not be ideal then - maybe we should wait til easter.

bettymoody sorry for late reply, been away from villa for a few days and just got back to MNet.
So far the things I've noticed that have been pinched are:
all pool towels
some bathroom towels
4 pillows
2 comforters
2 small floral arrangements
1 bloody large floral arrangement (3 foot high! - how the hell has that gone?)
1 lounge chair from pool deck
cutlery
plastic plates
ceramic fish ornament (was on wall)
placemats
stereo/cd player

Think thats it but am still checking inventory.

We are still thinking of coming back next Christmas. It did get a bit cool a few days last week but just back to Orlando today having been away since Monday and its much warmer, 79 degrees according to temperature guage in car.

For anyone going to Disney World during peak seasons I would recommend getting hold of this book: Unofficial guide to Walt Disney World by Bob Sehlinger: website. We were there in August and following the tips in this book we def saved loads of time with regards to (not) queuing.

Mumoverseas any chance you could let me know how much you would charge for a fortnight in March? I promise we won't take a single thing Smile

just come back to this.
picture this if you are still interested PM me.

toody I'd highly recommend Loyalty homes www.loyaltyusa.com They have loads of villas within 4 miles of Disney and all are a very high standard, most with private pools and gamesrooms

We go at Easter and this is the villa we stay in www.exclusivelyorlando.com/index.php
Its great and as the owners are in the UK it makes payment easier and speakign to them. They were fab last time we went as we go stuck out there for an extra week due to the volcanic ash.

Easter is lovely nice and warm, but no so hot as to make Disney unbearable, but you do need to book the flights loads in advance to get direct ones.

We took our DD's 2,7 and they loved it so we're back again this year for 2.5weeks.
