Hi, I'm just looking for some advice and to see if anybody has done anything like this before.
My husband and I have been asked to take part in a research and aid project in parts of Asia and Africa. We will be travelling around rural communities and volunteering/teaching in local hospitals/clinics. The project takes a year and we would be leaving in August 2012. We think this is a brilliant opportunity for the whole family.
The only problem is although both myself and my husband have had a lot of experience travelling by ourselves, never with children. Our current experience of travel with kids is Disneyland or centre parks etc.
We have six children (well, I am currently pregnant with no.6). When we go our kids will be:- Scarlet 15, Luca 12, Isabel, 9, Lola 7, Felicity 3 and no 6 18 mths.
If anybody has any experience of doing anything like this before, I really would love to know I'm not alone and completely mad!
