Villa in Italy

I have just got a bit carried away booking Easyjet flights to Rome for next June. We were going to stay at our friend's place about an hour away but I have messed up the dates and it isn't available.

Can anyone recommend a self catering villa within a couple of hours of Rome with minimum of 2 bedrooms, ideally a swimming pool and toddler friendly?

I quite like the look of this place but would ideally be a bit closer to Rome. www.aplaceinumbria.com

Thanks

Hi,
We stayed at the place you mention earlier this year and it was well worth the drive. We flew into Rome Ciampino and found the drive there was fine. It took us just under 2 hours as the roads were not too busy (being a weekend etc). We also wanted somewhere close to rome but found most of the places were not all that children friendly or had the facilities that we wanted. Good luck

Try looking for properties on the Lazio coast. We have been to San Felice Circeo, which is not far from Rome and is lovely - very chic and a popular Roman weekend home spot. We stayed in a hotel but I'm sure there are rental properties around there.
