Hi,

Going to Chicago for 2 weeks with DD (4.5) in Nov. Staying in a corporate apt in Arlington Heights, DH will be there working.

All very short notice so trying to get head around it.

Posted on living overseas and they've given some great ideas.

Any thoughts on whether I should take DD old buggy ? We'll be by ourselves all day and will be using public transport.

Any advice re flights going solo. Flying to Amsterdam first then on to Chicago.

Sorry for epic post.

Thanks

I'd take the buggy if there is any chance she will use it. Make sure you have lots of warm clothes.

Places to go: Field Museum! There used to be a nice interactive science museum on the lake shore too. Do try the Rock n Roll McDonalds. Get local recent info on safe areas, I loved the north side, which is very non-conformist for the US. If you are near the lake there could be a cold wind, so do wrap up warm.

BTW Arlington HEights is a long way out, I would really push for a car. (I lived in Oak Park, much more do-able by public transport.)

It does look way out doesn't it. Def no car unfortunately but think we are close to metra. We're embracing the adventure Grin

Thanks for tips. Got warm clothes ready to go. Think might take the buggy that's 2 yes's so far.

Thanks again
