Pisa - any tips

Hi

Hubby has booked us 3 days in Pisa for our anniversary, we go on 19th Sept. Has anyone got any tips, i.e. places to eat etc. We are looking at travelling to Florence on the Tuesday by train, it is a worthwhile journey?

Never been to Italy before, so sorry for all the questions!

Pisa is nice, but you should def. go to florence - not an awful amount to do in pisa, and florence is really lovely. If you want to go to the uffizi (art gallery, florence) - you can buy tickets for a pre arranged time rather than queue - I think from ticket office.
Can't think of any places specifically to eat in pisa - but you have to have your picture taken 'holding' up the tower!
