Split with husband. Need a holiday. Need to take DD.

Anyone recommend somewhere? Anywhere? I want to chill, relax, maybe some childcare on premises? Not totally full of happy couples (not bitter, but don't want to feel like a leper!) Is taking her on a city break a dreadful idea ??

Thinking about £500 - £750 for 1 week, end of November.

Suggestions please ladies !!!!!!!!!

Canaries? Egypt? I'm sure you'd find a deal with kids club.

Did you definately want to go abroad? Just thinking that Edinburgh is a fun city with a toddler - zoo, botanics, lots of walking around space, soft play and swimming pools possible if you want them.
THis holiday inn is right next to the zoo and has a pool.

One place springs to mind to me, but I am rather biased.....
If you have never been, Disneyland Paris is lovely in late November/ early December, with all the Christmas decorations, shows, parades, Christmas Parade, Fantillusion electrical parade after dark, the Castle glittering in brilliant white lights, DD might love to see the Disney Princes and Princesses and other Characters, have fun going on rides together, and just have a good time. The parks are not usually very busy at this time, so no long queues - it gets more crowded nearer Christmas and in school holidays.
When I am there, I forget everything that is going on in the ' outside world' for a few days.
A friend of mine is a single parent, and she went to DLP with her daughter at least twice a year, if not more. Disneyland is a place that does not matter if you are an adult on their own, a couple, single parent, family, or a group of friends.
Just forget everything and have some fun together for a few days........
Disney hotels in resort are quite expensive, but there are various options outside resort, much cheaper, but still easy access to the parks by train or free shuttle bus.
You can tavel by Eurostar from London, or fly. Some people go by ferry and drive.
There are companies like Ledger and Newmarket, that do holidays to Disneyland by coach, with everything included.
If this appeals to you ( or your daughter!) we can help further on the Trip Advisor Marne La Vallee forum.
Many people say Disneyland is expensive, but it can be done on a tight budget if you know how.......

Paris - fun for both of you!

Not really a relaxing, chilling kind of holiday, but certainly a feelgood one.

I agree that Paris is a lovely city. When we are in Disneyland, we usually have a day in Paris. It takes 40 mins by train.
You could combine the two.........

By the way, Disney are currently offering 40% off, and kids under 7 stay and play free.
