We are off to the Britsh Museum on Friday then to meet DH for lunch then a run around Coram's Fields (if not raining). MIL has got it into her head that then it would be nice to go for afternoon tea... DSs are relatively well-behaved, for their ages, and can be bribed with cake. Where can we go which is near-ish there and really nice but not too formal?!

Coram's fields is a great place even if it does rain!

try googling the brunswick centre which is nearby.. a local shopping centre with restaurants and a cinema. it's very small, and pedestrian so the kids can run around without fear of cars. best of all it's really near where you are going.
