40th birthday ideas please?

It is my 40th next year (June), am not one for big parties.
My sister has suggested we (me, her, my children aged 9 and 3, her baby just over 1, and my mum, no men), go away for my birthday.
I am pretty skint (though hopefully will be better by then), my mum is very skint (pensioner).
I was thinking long weekend at somewhere like Bluestone (£600 ish for the weekend).
My sister was thinking somewhere hot for a week (a villa in Ibiza), am thinking will be too expensive for me and my mum, just the flights alone for my 3 will be over £500

Any suggestions folks??

What do YOU want to do? I had a huge dilemma over my 40th as everyone kept trying to persuade me to do something "exciting" or "memorable". All I wanted to do was have a few days away with DH, just the 2 of us. In the end we went to the coast, stayed in a room which overlooked the beach and had a fantastic time. Not saying you should do this, but make sure you do exactly what YOU want. So if you fancy Bluestone, then do exactly that - don't let anyone talk you into something different.
