Anyone been to Menorca at the end of May????

I've just booked a fortnight in Menorca (north) from 19th may to 2nd June next year. Now I'm worried that:

  1. The weather isn't that great
  2. There won't be much for the kids!

Anyone been to Menorca (at any time of year) and have any good/stories???
And does anyone know what it'll be like at the end of May?

TIA

Where are you going MC? I can't remember the name of the place, but the hotel is called something like Aguamarina?

I am going next Friday and I think the weather will be similar to May/June so will let you know

Toothy, we were in Menorca in the middle of May this year and it was fab - temperatures were in the low to middle 70s which was just right really especially with a young dd. We had rain once and it was a massive thunderstorm which lasted about an hour and then the sun shone again straightaway!

We've been to Menorca 3 times now because we think it's so great for kids ... which resort are you going to? We've just come back from another great time in Arenal en Castell which is in the north.

HAve a fab time Noddy!

Cookie - I think our resort is right nextdoor to that one.... in the next sandy cove along to the East.

Weather should be excellent, hot but not excesive and sunny and not at all humid..

plenty for children without the sleaziness of some locations

lots of beaches and gently sloping shallows

Just looked it up Cookie.... and its the same resort we're going to!!! Arenal D'el Castelle. Looks gorgeous.

We are going to Majorca 27th May to 3rd June and I'm expecting it to be nice!!

Arenal is lovely - been there

CookieMonster · 12/09/2005 10:57

Toothy, it is a lovely resort. The beach is an enormous horseshoe shape and the sea is shallow and very safe. All the restaurants and cafes cater for kids (maybe not the healthiest of food but the kids will like it!) and the staff are always good with the children. Make sure you take a trip on the train that tootles around for most of the day.

Oh, I want to go again already ......

Toothache - we've not been abroad for years either so I'm really looking forward to it even though it's ages away!!
