What's on for kids , ideas that don't involve a two hour queue, cheap would be good.

Queues are always massive at Natural History arent they? Science museum great but still big queues. We did V and A last time instead with a five and 3 year old. They have a theatre exhibition upstairs with costumes to try on etc and masks and puppets too. Or Transport museum in Covent Garden. There are queues but not too bad. The Tate modern has a big exhibit of millions of porcelain sunflower seeds at the moment you might want to check out!Or look at Time Out online to see current attractions.

Ages? Genders? Interests? I can do you lots of suggestions, but need to narrow it down.

Greenwich - Maritime Museum, you always get in there (free). Then you can wander up to the Observatory, there are bits to wander round that are free, you need to pay for the planetarium show if it tickles your fancy. Greenwich Park is fine for kids to run off steam too.

If weather is nice, Corams fields is good to let them run around in. Fairly close to british museum there too.

What dinkystinky says - British Museum then Corams for a play.
