Majorca - which areas are pretty, quiet, good for families?

Thinking of going next summer because flights to Majorca seem fairly cheap - but am wary of the crowds and 18-30s! Anyone able to recommend smaller regions, nice beaches, cafes, a few restaurants but NOT clubs, sky sports and irish pubs?

Pollensa old town, soller,Deia, Formentor all lovely places with not an 18-30's type tourist in site.
There have been quite a few friends on Mallorca on here recently if you have a search.

Puerto Pollensa is lovely.. do a search on here and you will find it is popular with mumsnetters.

Soller is gorgeous. Don't know what your budget is but this is a great hotel. You can take a tram from the port to the town and a steam train through the mountains for a day out in Palma.

Pollensa old town is nice, Puerto Pollensa is family-friendly and has good bits (and a lovely beach) but also some English/Irish pubs/breakfast places IYKWIM - but not even vaguely the 18-30 vibe.

Alcudia town is also nice (not Puerto Alcudia which has a lovely beach but is v touristy/developed.

Sineu is a nice wee place for a day out.

Loads of English/German tourists wherever you go in Mallorca.

Palma is fantastic, really like it, like a mini- Barcelona in a way but not as big or busy.

Puerto Pollensa every time! We used to own an apt there, sadly sold it when our trio came along. Been going since 1987, bit brasher but still lovely, very friendly, would recommend a villa in Pinaret where we used to be, there are lots to rent there:)

cala marcal is the beach resort of porto colom.

We have had two lovely holidays there with our 5 children. They are all older teenagers now so it would be too quiet for them. Cala Marcal has two hotels - one english/irish one german. About 6 bar restaurants. An immaculate beach. Good childrens clubs. The whole place is small - about 2 or 3 small roads running parallel to the beach. Walk across the beach and you begin the ascent pass other bars and shops towards porto colom with more hotels and restaurants. A smallish harbour (working one rather than picturesque) and a town square that often has entertainment. We found the beach resort the best place to be with our young children (age 8 to 15). the teens had a blast. It is so safe for them to walk around and cos its so small you get to know the same friendly faces. Entertainment team were lovely; friendly and entertaining. We had a 3 bed 2 bath bungalow apartment. Pet of a place if you are looking for easy, safe, pleasant hol.
