Does anyone know how the seat numbers for trains are allocated please?
we have seats 14A,13A,18A,17A are they a little group of 4 together? or two infront and two behind?
thanks xx

It sounds like you have 2 sets of single seats, with another set of passengers between you (seats 15 and 16).

When I was on a GNER train last year, the compartment was configured with 3 seats across - a double, the corridor, then a single. There was a table between facing seats.

Not sure if it helps but I had seat 17A on a virgin train earlier this week and the A means it's an airline style seat - ie. no table.

I'm afraid that I didn't notice where 13 and 14 were - they may be the other side of the walkway/corridor - so you'd all be in a line across the train ?

When we travelled with virgin on the west coast line in April, we had seats, 37A,38A,41A and 42A,
This was a group of seats around a table.
