Has anyone used Travel Republic?

We normally go with a package (Thomson or similar).
But most people we met on hols this year had booked everything themselves and got it much cheaper.

Looking at next years prices (3.5k to go to Majorca, purlease!!!!) we will have to do the same.

Some of the ones on TRavel republic are coming up almost 1k cheaper than the brochure prices.
Has anyone used them, or can you recommend good internet site for cheap hols thanks Smile

Yes, we did. We went about 2 years ago to Lanzarote with them - they were much cheaper than anyone else and we had a great holiday, no problems or hitches. Would recommend.

We are travelling to Turkey with Travel Republic in a few weeks time and have booked through them before. I arranged our flights direct with easyJet. However, TR are not always the cheapest. There is a whole bunch of websites that I normally check when I am booking a DIY holiday. Some of these online travel agents (including Travel Republic) will also offer flight prices and you can book both flight and accommodation at the same time: fleetwaytravel.co.uk, teletextholidays.co.uk, travelrepublic.co.uk, A1Travel.com, ulookubook.com, roomstostay.co.uk, directline-holidays.co.uk, hotels4u.com, medhotels.com or sunshine.co.uk - to name a few! If you are a member of Top Cash Back or Quidco then some of the companies I have mentioned also offer up to 7% cash back Smile

Have booked with Travel Republic before, sis uses them regularly and I find the site very user friendly.
Unfortunately the flight for our last trip (Corfu a couple of weeks ago) was with Kiss so are waiting to get the money back. We were quick and managed to find reasonable alternatives before the prices shot through the roof though Smile

We used them for the first time this year and found them absolutely fine.

Saved over £1,000 by doing it this way rather than via a travel agent/conventional package.

We used them to book flights, hotel and transfer from airport.

Were slightly nervous - all we had to show the hotel/transfer company was a computer print out, but everything worked perfectly and we would use them again.

We've used travel republic too, very competitive prices and all went fine. On recent trawl through websites found sunshine.co.uk to be cheapest, think depends on accomodation

We have used them a couple of times and they have been perfectly fine, no problems at all.
