So I've finally booked to go to Tenerife October half term.

It's me, DH and 2 DSs, one 2YO, one just 5YO.

We're staying at the Colon II apartments self catering in Playas.

I'm looking for recommendations for activities and places to eat.

Thanks!

Could I just ask what the weather will be like? Will it be sunbathng weather?

TIA

I'm not sure I'll be sunbathing with 2 boys to run around after, but I'm hoping for some sun.

Hi there.
I live in Tenerife and work as a childcarer.

There is loads of places to eat etc in Las Americas and you can walk to Los Cristianos as it is on the same main road, bizar i know!

If you get to the threatre with the beautiful coloured dancing fountains oppasite above the fountain is a couple of really lovely restaurants. The tapenyaki which is amazing as it is like dinner with a show and next door is biancos, Italian rest but the best pizzas on the island!!

Other than that you have many rests that do tapas and paellas etc and you also have a mc'donnalds and burger kind along the beach front if you need a quick snack.

If you carry on past the fountain with it on your left you will thencome into Los Cris.
When you get to the shop Zara if you head towards the seafront and keep walking it is like another little world with dozens more restaurants etc.

Hope this helps and please let me know if i can help further.

Dalek ... i replied to you on the other thread.x

Can't say much about activities as my boys prefer to spend the day playing around on the beach, swim, ... and we just go from time to time to the theme park "Jungle Park".
There are plenty of restaurant in Las americas but 90% are pure crap.
The Slow Boat Teppanyaki and the blanco are really nice but for a true local taste this is were we go:
Bar del Cine - Los Cristianos
Meson Castellano - Las americas (El Camison)
El Gomero - Las Americas (near Police Station)
Raymond for a real Paella - Los Cristianos
La Churrasqueria Rodeo - Fañabe
Otello - playa fañabe , but last time it was good but not soo good. Beware, it is the only real restaurant in playa fañabe, all the others are beursk

For fish, you need a car or a taxi to arrive at la caleta, the village after las americas. Celso or the other one named "La Caleta" just in front on the other side of the port

So we leave on Friday afternoon.

Thanks for the restaurant names, which are best to take a 2YO and 5YO to?

Although spanish are very family orientated anyway I assume?

And what does beursk mean?
