Can anyone recommend a villa or apartment in Nerja (costa del sol). We are 2 adults and 3 kids, I'd like to be within walking distance of the town and beach so I can avoid extra cost of car hire. We are going during October half term....thanks

Hi there, there are many hotels, hostels (which are cheaper than hotels, and great value), apartments and villas to choose from ... really just depends on what you are looking for.

For some ideas, check out this site:

Hope you have fun ... Nerja is a great little place!

We stayed in a great 3 bedroomed apartment in Nerja last year. It was frontline, in the Tuhillo apartment complex and just a few minutes walk to the Balcon, beach etc. I found it on the holiday-lettings website but the company that we actually rented it from are called Sol Searchers

They were fine to deal with and my sister used them later in the year to rent a different apartment, with no complaints.

Did you find somewhere? In case you are interested there is a great new english speaking creche opening in the torrecilla area of town. Open all day 6 days a week for kids from 3 months to 12 years. I would have loved something like that when we went to portugal last year!

We stayed at El Capistrano Village in February. It is at the top of that long road down to the beach. Will try to find links...

Find an apartment near Burriana beach. there are loads on Owners Direct. Burriana was by far the nicest area IMO.

Have you stayed at Nerja before? You would need a car to get about to other places, I would say. It is also about an hour from the airport.
