We have young kiddies aged 4 and 6 and are venturing on our first holiday abroad next summer for some sun.It has to be short haul, child friendly beach close to the hotel, away from the brits abroad yob culture, away from the crowds with a moderate budget. do we go all inc or self catering?
please help! resort and hotel reccomendations appreciated.

We got back from Cala n Bosch in Menorca last week.

It was perfect for what you are after. A 2 hour flight, lovely weather, beautiful beaches and no yobs!! I would recommend all inclusive as it can get very expensive for drinks etc.

We stayed all inclusive at the Viva Menorca which was great especially for the kids and the food was fabulous. It is a good 20 minute walk from the beach and the main bit of cala n bosch so you may prefer something closer.

Pernera bay (nr protaras) in Cyprus was fab too, I would go all inc as we went self catering and it was ridiculously expensive.

I also love the Greek islands. As long as you avoid the party bits such as faliraki, kavos and malia etc.
