Hi All,

Can anyone reccomend a cottage in Brittany that can fit us in please?

We would need: 1 x double bedroom with space for a cot
: 2 x other double rooms (ideally with one on ground floor but think I'm pushing it anyway)
: 3 x single beds (happy if its twin beds, bunk beds all separate rooms any how we can get 3 kids in!)

We've spent ages looking online but the number v's size of rooms seems to be difficult to find.

Thanks!

Have you tried the Owners Direct website? They seem to have lots of larger ones.

I can't at the moment find the one we stayed in a couple of years ago just outside Vannes, which would have met your requirements - we might have rented through a different company, though we have used Owners Direct in the past. It was in a village called Trehuinec just outside Vannes and had five bedrooms and a pool. Great location.

Are you fixed on Brittany?

Vendee vacances has nice properties in the south Vendee. Better weather than Brittany and only an hour south of Nantes.

Try brittany cottages - recommended by babyfriendlyboltholes, near the border of Brittany/Normandy, so not far from the Channel ports and a very interesting area to visit.

Great thanks guys!

Yes we've checked Owners Direct and there may be something there (just waiting for PIL to say if they think it's ok too).

I'll have a look at Brittany Cottages now!

Yes it has to be Brittany - PIL's choice!

Cheers though all!

Any of these from Gites de France?

We stayed in one booked I think through Brittany Ferries in a village called Planguenal (spelling??) neat Port Dahouet. That had two double bedrooms downstairs, one upstairs plus 2 single rooms and a twin. Lovely setting and fab accommodation. Only about 40 minutes from St Malo if you're going by ferry. Will try and find the reference.

we stayed in the longhouse here. no downstairs bedroom, but lovely house, beach nearby and gorgeous area.

the woman who owned it was lovely (scroll down)

Hi, you have probably booked somewhere by now, but if not, my mum and dad have a cottage in central Brittany which sleeps 12 (I think).

The link is: www.visitfrance.co.uk/accommodation.cfm?i=5244 Its a really nice quiet village but with a good restaurant almost opposite the cottage.
