People carrier - 4 adults and a child seat, any recommendations?

We're planning a road trip (6 days through France, Holland and Belgium), and I'm not sure which car would be best to hire.

We've got an Audi A4, but whilst it's fine for short journeys, I fear we'll be too cramped in the back for hours per day.

The idea is to hire something bigger for the trip, but I'm stuck as to what. Those of you with bigger families, what do you recommend?

Ideally you should go for something the size of an espace/galaxy. That way the four adults have full sized seats with full leg room whilst still leaving space for a carseat plus luggage.

Thanks frenchfancy, I'll have a look at those now.

Yes, full leg room would really be essential, as it's a trip with our parents, so really important that they're as comfortable as possible.

We've got a Galaxy Grin. I love it although it is a bit big for a family of three. Fantastic though when we have visitors and everyone can have a comfy seat and DD can sit in her booster without cramping other people up.

I'm making notes of all of these now, think we should arrange a visit to a garage soon! We've got the same problem, kreecher - it's always an issue when we have family over. As they're all from abroad, it means we're usually driving for quite a bit visiting places, so difficult for two adults at the back as ds's car seat takes up so much space!
