breaking journey near bristol?

We are about to drive to Devon from London with 3 toddlers, and am not looking forward to it at all. Ideally we'd break the journey somewhere near Bristol for lunch and an extended play, but I've no idea where. Does anyone have any suggestions for an easy (close to motorway) fun stop?

If you stop at cribbs causeway they can run amok around the mall (handy if it's rainy) there's plenty of eating choices, a big indoor fountain thingy to watch and outside there's a playground with climbing frames/slides etc.

It's like 5/10mins off the M5.

If you would prefer to be more outside based then you could still come off for Cribbs causeway exit but head to Blaise Castle (maybe 20min drive) it has HUGE outdoor playgrounds split into areas for different age groups, huge green spaces to kick a ball around in, nice cafe right next to playground and decent toilets and changing facilities, all free, I think you may have to pay for parking there if you use carpark but there is usually loads of space along the road right next to it that is free.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Stop at Cribbs Causeway and go to Jump - it's the most enormous indoor play centre with slides, bouncy castles, little soft play for tinies and a cafe (think jacket potatoes and stuff with chips, but still very child friendly) for lunch. It's quite expensive if your kids are over 1, but will let them work off some steam so they're exhausted ready for the second leg.

Jump - It's junction 17 off the M5
