I haven't yet checked with GP or HV, but would like to hear from real parents first. Has anyone been to India with an infant? is there a need for any kind of vaccinations or tablets? We are going to Delhi, and it seems there have been quite few cases of Dengue lately.
Would appreciate any advice about vaccinations/jabs or tablets that my DS may need.

thanks

Hi there, I'm Indian and my baby went to India aged 4 months and then 10 months. Unless you are planning to feed him ditch water, you have nothing to worry about. Just take the usual precautions (washing bottles, hands etc thoroughly), and don't sweat about a little curry tasting and Delhi belly. Have fun! Germs are good for him

The flight will be a pain though. Suggest lots of snacks, fav books, toys and a bit of cartoon watching in flight!! Also bottle feeding every take off and landing... I knocked my 10mo with a half dose of piriton when she got really upset, but this may not be your thing (Its the only time I did it!)

Hi, we're taking our 2 year old to India in a month or two. We were advised a whole list of vax by a private travel clinic, & Hep A & Typhoid by the GP (which we had). Other than that as long as she was up to date on routine vax they didn't suggest anything. Altho off the top of my head they might be concerned with your DS since he won't have completed routine childhood vax yet (I think).
