Anyone LO complain of MaxiCosi XP hurting their backs?

My son has complained that his back hurts in his maxi cosi (I think it is called the XP).

When I have felt the back of the seat, the padding isn;t much and I'm wondering if I can fashion a cushion which may help.

We have a long journey to Tenby and I foresee tears
Has anyone else had this and how have they solved it?

We've had 2 mc Rodi's and neither dc has complained. You may still be able to get a summer cover (towelling) but it won't add poadding. Improvising could compromise tis support in an accident. How old is he ?

He's 2.8 yrs.

All we can do is make lots of stops and hope he is ok

thanks

If he is in a highback booster at that age I'd venture to suggest he'd be more ocmfortable with a harness and the extra support of a Stage 1 seat - suitable until he reaches 18kg.

the xp is a harnessed seat

agree that you musn't add padding. but tbh if my child was constantly complaining that it hurt his back i would seriously consider getting a different seat

Aren't there XP models of the harnessed(Priori) and highback (Rodi) seats ?

ohhh, possibly yes...
