We are thinking about going in late Oct for 2 weeks - not school hols (lucky enough to be able to use ba miles for flights). I am getting a good rate at Almond Casuarina Beach Resort (this is new I think) and Almond Beach Village - DS to young for other hotels I think.

Also considering renting a villa and car but I think the DSs (2 & 4) may get bored with that set up.

Budget is a low as possible! But we want somewhere nice!

Sadly,I have not been to Barbados myself yet,but you should ask the experts on the Trip Advisor Barbados Forum. They can help you.

One of my friends went last december (out of school hols) with her children DS4 and DD2, they really enjoyed it. Said the kids club was fantastic and pool area etc good.
A lot of the food was buffet style which suited the kids.
They did say the accom is a bit dated, the first room they were given they rejected as it smelt a bit damp. They also said that they should have booked a suite or adjoining rooms as they ended up going to bed at the same time as the children in the evening.
I actually though of going this jan, but DH didn't want to do all inclusive so we've booked to go to Carlisle bay instead in antigua.
I've been to barbados itself a couple of times and its wonderfyl, beaches lovely, there's loads of nice restaurants esp Daphnes and The cliff (go child free though).
