I am such an idiot. I have just wasted £300.

We are going to geneva for feb half term and I was really excited. I even remembered to go through quidco for the £4 cash back.

I couldn't get all the flights on one card so I thought (clever me) that I would book the outbound flights on one card and the inbound on another. I didn't realise that the inbound flights would then be charged at some ridiculously exaggerated rate.

I thought the price of the flights had gone up. But they hadn't, if I had booked a return flight for 2 of us on one card and then another 2 on the other card I would have saved £300.

I rang customer services (bloody 50p per minute and the call handler doesn't understand english) and they just said ha ha - got ya! or words to that effect.

I hate airlines. Why do they have such rubbish customer service?

God, how annoying. Can you cancel altogether, get a refund and book with someone else?

trice · 25/08/2010 18:07

Can't cancel. They are a "non refund" airline.
You don't even get cover under distance selling regulations as travel companies are exempt.

I thought I was pretty savvy but they got me this time.

arses.

Oh dear....airlines really do take pride in screwing customers, don't they?
