"simply travel"? with childcare or not - anyone tried?

Has anybody been on a "simply travel" hol with childcare. I note they've expanded their childcare to other countries apart from Corsica. I suppose Im asking too much because I really would like the childcare and some things to do nearby without having to jump in a car. Looking at Crete in october maybe and also taking granny. ds1 is 3 and ds2 will be 4 mths. Not sure whether Id make it through the hol without any childcare - has anybody been to istron bay hotel, Crete? Any advice welcomed.

We went nearly three years ago with dd (then aged two) to Crete but I cannot remember the location, we won the holiday through a website competition. It was outside of school holidays and the child care ended up being like a private nanny, because often dd was the only child so they did what ever she wanted. We wanted the child because she liked mixing with other children, but there was only one other family at the two complexes (both apartment complexes) that the creche served.

The main difference was that their staff were from England and were not all round entertainers they were child carers - I think they were qualified or training as well. Hopefully other people have had more recent experience than me.

Done Simply travel four times and would recommend Lefkas - couple of minutes drive from main town.

thank you willow2 and patch. i will look at lefkas. did you have any childcare willow2?
Were the appartments in the middle of nowhere patch or could you walk anywhere/ taverna/beach?? Im just so indecisive and not great at booking holidays. We went mark warner to corsica last year which was great although pricey but I dont want to do any sport/activities this year and so am looking for more of a chill out hol.

Ds went into kids' club at various points - the nannies were great, really good fun and game for non-stop water fights.
