we're thinking of booking a short break to Europe, but instead of booking flights and hotels separately, this time we want a package. Because of the risk of disruption of volcanic ash, and some holiday companies have folded recently, we thought we might have more protection if things go wrong if we got a package with an ABTA/ATOL-bonded company. We've found some good deals with Mercury Direct, but haven't heard of the company before - has anyone else booked with them? How was it? Were they good/average/indifferent/bad? They seem to have some good deals (we've seen the same hotels with other, bigger name holiday companies, but they charge more money, and we don't want to spend too much). I've had a look online and found some reviews of the company but they are at least two years old and I wanted more recent opinions. Let me know if you would recommend them.
