Can anyone recommend the best day out for a 2 1/2 year old - on a fairly tight budget. Live in Reading so pretty much close to all attractions, Looking at Gullivers, Thorpe Park, Chessington???
Help!

Unless you are taking older children, I wouldn't bother with theme parks at that age. They involve a lot of queuing and walking and my guess is that a two year old would get fed up. Is there a farm, zoo or just lovely park nearby?

Wellington Countyr Park

save the theme parks till they are much older, at least 11, esp if you are on a budget

or Farm

or Park

or the Living Rainforest in Newbury is pretty good

tbh anywhere with a minature train and you are made. DD (just 3) loves to go to Blenheim Palace and ride theirs back and forth with brief stops for a) the adventure playground and b) and ice cream. They're easily pleased at this age.

oh crap, sorry

Bucklebury Farm
Beale Park

oh oh, or if they are at all, even the slightest bit interested in trains, the Didcot Railway Centre on one of their Steam Days.
