I once had to 'babysit' my bosses 14 yo niece on a day out in London. She chose Madame Tussards, the London Dungeons and a trip on an open top bus.

Other ideas, depending on his interests, are: HMS Belfast, Houses of Parliament, river taxi, London Eye, the Sherlock Holmes museum, the Planetarium, the Design Museum (not far from the London Dungeon), the Globe theatre.

Also, 2nd MrsBadger's suggestion - Imperial War Museum.

oh the design musewum is fab for anyone with even the slightest interest in art / design / technology
