Has anyone flown with Etihad?

I'm considering using them as they're one of the cheapest for direct flights from London to Melbourne.

I'll be flying economy, has anyone used them before?

Qantas have a reasonable deal but I heard they weren't all that comfortable?

They were fine from London to Sharm-el-sheik this year. Wasn't remarkable in any way. To be honest an economy flight to Aus is going to be pretty horrific whoever you go with anyway (scarred for life, and I went on Virgin). May as well save some cash for some therapy (shopping, spa or psychiatric, whatever works best for you) at the other end. Smile

Really good to Abu Dhabi, but I would check that it is truly direct you may find that it actually hubs through Abu Dhabi some people get off others get on, but as a direct passenger you are stuck.

Lizcat - that's a good point actually so complicated all of this, I wish I had more money!

A couple of my friends have flown with Etihad in the last year and didn't have any complaints.

I've flown to Sydney with Qantas, BA & Emirates and would agree with redandgreen that it's pretty horrific whoever you go with!

I was on one of Emirates A380s from Dubai to Sydney last year which was better than their normal flights - wider seats and much quieter. I don't know if any airlines use their A380s to Melbourne but if they do, they are slightly less painful!

i flew to thailand with them, and they were totally fine

I've flown London to Melbourne with Etihad and they were quite good. There was about an hour and twenty minute wait in the terminal at Abu Dhabi.

Hi guys

Doh I just noticed these posts!I booked with Qauntas/BA through dialaflight in the end, they sorted my visa too for £10.

It's set me back £1035 and I have an hour and a half wait in Hong Kong 22 hours in air...
