mutti, how would vegetarians fare in Munich?

We used to holiday in Germany a fair bit as DH has family over there, not been in past 2 years but it was always great. Went on a day trip to Munich last time we were over and I found a 4-leaf clover in the English Garden!

Not that brilliant for vegetarians if you wnat to eat at the beer gardens and breweries. Lots of sausage and half chickens. However, at the bigger beer gardens you can get a lot of Swabian pasta/noodle dishes called Spaetzle, like thick noodles with cheese sauce, roesti (grated potato cakes)with apple puree and the salads are great. The bakeries sell lots of Brezel with cream cheese and chives and cheese and gherkins, slad etc. The Turkish and Italian food over there is great so if you like falafels and pizza or pasta the choice is good. It's not ideal for vegetarians but then there is a lot of choice if you look for it.
